Carrier is searching for a Senior Finance Manager – Corporate FP&A to join the Commercial and Residential Fire business that is expected to separate from Carrier in Q4. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal part in shaping and developing an FP&A function from the ground up.
The Senior Finance Manager – Corporate FP&A will be integral in building robust FP&A processes and systems to support the business’ strategic objectives. This position will report directly to the Director of FP&A and will work closely with senior leadership to drive financial insights that will inform decision making across the company.

About This Role
Carrier is searching for a Senior Finance Manager – Corporate FP&A to join the Commercial and Residential Fire business that is expected to separate from Carrier in Q4. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal part in shaping and developing an FP&A function from the ground up.
The Senior Finance Manager – Corporate FP&A will be integral in building robust FP&A processes and systems to support the business’ strategic objectives. This position will report directly to the Director of FP&A and will work closely with senior leadership to drive financial insights that will inform decision making across the company.
- Support the Director of FP&A in developing the FP&A function, including setting up and optimizing processes and systems for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Provide strategic analyses and recommendations to enhance finance performance and business opportunities.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly and annual budgeting and forecasting cycles, including comprehensive cash flow projections and overseeing HQ cost center budgets to ensure optimal resource allocation and cost control.
- Lead the creation of sophisticated financial models to support decision-making related to new business initiatives and capital investments.
- Work closely with accounting, treasury, and operational teams to ensure comprehensive financial integration and data consistency.
- Consolidate information into company-wide financial statements, and prepare presentations and financial updates for senior managements and external stakeholders.
- Play a key role in setting and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with business goals.
- Contribute to a high-performing FP&A team, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business
- 7 years of experience in Finance or FP&A role supporting distribution/manufacturing financial reporting
- MBA, CPA/CMA (a plus, but not required)
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, reporting requirements, financial analysis techniques, and budgeting/forecasting processes, financial/cost analysis, pricing analysis, and budgeting/forecasting skills.
- Demonstrated experience in setting up or transforming FP&A processes within a dynamic business environment.
- Strong proficiency in financial modelling and experience with ERP and business intelligence tools
- Experienced analytical and spreadsheet development skills, along with prior advanced knowledge of financial consolidation systems (HFM preferred) and Excel.
- Experience working with and developing visual reporting utilizing tools like Power BI.
- Strong interpersonal and functional skill sets. You should be adaptable, organized, and work well within a highly collaborative team framework.
