What are the responsibilities and job description for the Analyst, CCM, I position at Carrington?
This role will utilize advanced statistics and programming skills to help our asset management business and address various needs from CCM affiliates. Incumbent will work with senior team members in developing portfolio-monitoring reports and modeling mortgage performances for pricing and risk applications. Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.
What you'll do:
- Use advanced statistics and programming skills to process, organize and analyze big data sets from various internal and external sources related to residential mortgage assets.
- Investigate alternative data sources from various Carrington affiliates to extract trends to enhance CCM analytics. Based on these analytical results, help Carrington affiliates with their workflows. Examples include prospecting for various marketing campaigns, improving contacts with delinquent borrowers, etc.
- Study and analyze various vendor data sources and provide analysis to senior team members; participate in developing corporate wide data strategies.
- Develop, maintain and improve data driven reports for CCM and the affiliated divisions.
- Communicate effectively and diligently to ensure smooth progress in various collaboration projects with CCM team members, affiliated divisions, and vendors.
- Develop and produce any requested ad hoc analysis requests accurately and on time.
- Identify and assist team members with issues emerging from a rapidly changing market environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in a bachelor’s or graduate program in a quantitative field such as mathematics, physics, statistics, computer science or engineering required.
- Programming skills of analyzing large data in Python and SQL are required.
- Familiarity with working in a Linux environment is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience at an investment firm or asset manager firm is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience in the mortgage industry is preferred but not required.
- Highly motivated, team-oriented, a quick learner with good communication and organizational skills to perform multiple tasks within limited timeframes.
