What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Head Dance Coach position at Carroll College?
Description: Carroll College is seeking applicants for a Head Dance Coach to develop a new competitive dance program beginning in the fall of 2024. Responsibilities for this part-time position include oversight of all aspects of the day-to-day operations including but not limited to: scheduling of dance competitions, coordination of performance based events, the recruitment and retention of quality student-athletes; fiscal management of the operating budget; skill and technique development; donor fundraising; alumni and community relations; and possible additional duties within the Department of Athletics. The successful candidate must be able to develop positive relationships with faculty, staff, students, media, alumni, and donors while interacting successfully with department personnel and the college community. The Head Dance Coach must manage the dance program in compliance with all national association, conference and institutional rules and regulations, while aligning the management of the dance program with the mission of Carroll College.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years demonstrated successful dance instruction experience. Preferably, experience directing a dance program in a collegiate or secondary educational setting, along with demonstrated leadership, developed interpersonal communication skills and the ability to support the mission of the college.
