Essential Functions
- Assists DON in maintaining quality assessment and improvement initiatives
- Works intra and interdepartmentally in cooperation with DON to ensure cost-effective utilization
- Assists DON with developing, discussing, and communicating plans of development for nursing department in collaboration with managers, staff, and other departmental leaders to address identified needs in compliance with hospital goals and values.
Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Must hold a current state nursing license
- BLS certification is required upon hire
- ACLS certification is required within 6 months of hire
- PALS certification is preferred
- Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of management-level nursing experience
- Strong leadership, managerial, and effective time management skills are required
