Sales Job Status: Full-Time Reports to: Sales Director-Southeast

Position Overview: We are in search of a seasoned and expert-level Sales Representative specializing in automotive logistics. This position will report and collaborate directly to the Director of Sales in the Southeast. Situated in the Southeast US, this pivotal role centers on leveraging expertise in JIT delivery, supply chain optimization, analysis, benchmarking, and visibility solutions. The ideal candidate embodies an expert persona in the transportation world, equipped with a robust financial and operational background to drive sales growth and spearhead strategic initiatives within the automotive logistics sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Devise and execute strategic sales plans, exceeding sales targets within the Southeast US, focusing on JIT delivery, supply chain optimization, and visibility solutions within automotive logistics.
  • Identify and target automotive manufacturing companies, OEMs, and suppliers as primary clients, showcasing expertise in supply chain analysis, benchmarking, and logistics optimization.
  • Foster and nurture robust relationships with automotive industry decision-makers and stakeholders, establishing Carter Logistics as the go-to expert in transportation solutions.
  • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments utilizing an expert-level approach, aligning with the Challenger sales methodology, to understand intricate logistics requirements and offer customized solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to develop and implement cutting-edge logistics strategies tailored to the automotive industry's complex supply chain demands.
  • Deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and negotiations, demonstrating an expert understanding of automotive logistics and transportation trends.
  • Stay at the forefront of the transportation world, continuously analyzing industry trends, competitors, and market developments to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with the customer to review KPI’s and staying engaged in the knowledge or their business.
  • This person will be a key representative for Cater Logistics in the Southeast US

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven and distinguished track record of successful sales achievements within automotive logistics, particularly in JIT delivery, supply chain optimization, and visibility solutions.
  • Mastery in supply chain analysis, benchmarking methodologies, and a deep understanding of transportation industry trends.
  • Strong operational and financial background with the ability to comprehend complex operational intricacies in automotive logistics.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to engage and influence high-level stakeholders.
  • A self-driven and proactive approach with the ability to work autonomously or collaboratively in a team.
  • Impeccable organizational skills with an acute attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the Southeast US territory as required.
