Environmental Services – Environmental Service Team Leader Shift: Full-time Temporary 7am-3pm (Primary) various shifts – Float – All Facilities
An Environmental Services Team Leader assists the EVS Director to make sure the EVS staff has education, training, skills, equipment, and supplies needed to provide a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff of the hospital daily as well as a long-term basis. The Team Leader is responsible for covering for the EVS Manager when unavailable to keep the department functioning, so there is no disruption to the operations of the hospital as well as takes call. Performs environmental services duties in accordance with established standards and regulations including cleaning walls, lights, fixtures, equipment, and furniture in all assigned areas of the hospital (both clinical and non-clinical) to maintain an aseptic environment and prevent healthcare-associated infection using standard cleaning procedures and chemicals. Cleans, waxes, extracts, and maintains floors, carpeting and stairwells as well as assists with heavy cleaning throughout the hospital, Meadowbrook Terrace, and physician offices/clinics. May be required to go to off-site locations.
