We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Special Events Coordinator/Bartender to join our team at our Tavern. As a bartender, you will be responsible for crafting and serving a variety of beers, cocktails, and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to our guests. The Garden Tavern is the cornerstone of the Cartside Food Cart pod, offering 25 beer and cider taps plus cocktails, an extensive whiskey list, and cans to go.
The Special Events Coordinator/Bartender will primarily coordinate marketing and event efforts for our event space(s) and Cartside PDX, with other projects frequently arising. We value flexibility in our team members, as it allows us to adapt to the ever-changing priorities and business needs of our Tavern, food cart pod, and event space(s). Responsibilities:
- Greet and serve guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Prepare and serve drinks according to company and customer specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Clean and maintain the food cart pod area including tables, garbage cans, restrooms, etc.
- Manage inventory and stock levels
- Upsell drinks and food items to increase revenue
- Check customers' identification and confirm that they are of legal drinking age
- Follow all safety and health regulations
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of bartending experience in a fast-paced bar environment
- A valid OLCC license
- Excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of beer, wine, and cocktail preparation and presentation
- Ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and move kegs weighing up to 160 lbs.
