About the team and position

Carvana is seeking a video editor/producer with some motion graphics and social media experience to create short-form videos and creative assets across our content production, including our social and digital media accounts. We're looking for people who know how to tell a great story, and can entertain an audience. This is a collaborative position within our team where you will have a hand in crafting each story and how to visually tell them. This role will report to the Associate Director of Production.

What you'll be doing

Job responsibilities:

• Develop, produce, shoot and edit fun, high quality and engaging digital video content including Youtube, Tik Tok, IG and facebook.
• Manage small productions: Travel, shoot logistics, scheduling, etc.
• Provide direction to freelance crew members.
• Assist on larger video shoots by camera operating, running audio, setting up video, lighting and rigging etc when required
• Work closely with copywriters and art directors to ensure that the vision of each project is captured and conveyed.
• Work closely with events team to create and capture relevant content.
• Work with Project Management, Executive Producers and Producers to ensure work goes out on time and on budget.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of professional experience producing excellent shareworthy videos. Show example links and/or reel.
• A self-reliant one person band. You can go on location, suss out a story and shoot great content to tell a story.
• Expert on editing on Adobe Premiere Pro and After FX
• Expert shooting with a Sony A7s or similar
• Capable on shooting high end video on a RED or similar
• Experience using field audio equipment
• A student of the digital video game. (Knowledge of upstart digital video producers like Complex, Buzzfeed, and Vox, as well as the digital efforts of legacy publishers
• Can work quickly, efficiently and resourcefully within the confines of brand requirements, client deliverables, and budget limitations.

• Flexible schedule and ability to travel for productions.
• Excellent written, verbal, and time management skills and the ability to clearly communicate timelines and production realities.
• Ability to edit in a fast-paced environment that is reactive to tech and automotive trends
• Ability to multitask, prioritize & manage projects simultaneously.
