WHOLESALE ADVOCATE
Position Overview:
The entry level role, combining customer service and back of house operations, is responsible for vehicle purchase, pickup, accurately assessing, documenting and maintaining the status and appearance of Carvana's wholesale inventory. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
What you'll be doing:
- Coordinate with customers on the transaction of vehicles purchased for wholesale by Carvana.
- Complete a checklist of pre-work items, with auditor-like accuracy in order to prepare for our customer's pickup/dropoff.
- Frequently interact with customers in person, by phone, email, and text.
- Occasionally operate Carvana vehicles on public roads to purchase wholesale vehicles from Carvana customers.
- Maintain detailed notes in our customer tracking system, identify what we have missed, and ultimately help us build a stronger company.
- Accurately assess and document the exterior and interior condition of Carvana's wholesale inventory by utilizing your experience with Carvana's detailed training and state-of-the-art digital tools
- Use internal mobile tools to take multiple images of assigned vehicles, including photos of any observed damage
- Annotate equipment, trim levels and other vehicle features and attributes
- Perform other duties as assigned
What the job requires:
To be able to do your job at Carvana, there are some basic requirements we want to share with you.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent, or equivalent experience
- Three years experience working in customer service either in the retail or hospitality industry.
- A strong sense of urgency, the ability to pay attention to detail, and strong communication skills
- Ability to work well with others and maintain a strong understanding of teamwork.
- Ability to frequently stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, squat and lift up to 20lbs.
- A technical aptitude that can be applied to the use of digital devices and mobile apps.
- Ability to maintain an unwavering attention to detail
- Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, compliant with Company guidelines.
- Ability to safely operate vehicles.
- Ability to consistently comply with laws and policies pertaining to the operation of vehicles.
- Ability to communicate and interact with others effectively in a professional, courteous manner.
- Ability to work indoors or outdoors regularly in all weather conditions.
- Enthusiasm and positive energy to contribute to and thrive in a rapidly growing start-up atmosphere where roles continually adapt as the company evolves.
