What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Cycle Counter position at Cascade Windows?
We're currently looking for an Inventory Counter to join our Materials team located at our Salt Lake City location. The Cycle Counter is responsible for monitoring accuracy of inventory information and makes adjustments to inventory records based on physical cycle count verification and company Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) computer system.
This position is also responsible unload, stock and move materials required to support the production process. This is done by hand or by safely operating a forklift.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Maintains inventory cycle count and physical inventory program.
- Compiles, verifies, enters and reports on inventory levels daily.
- Performs “live production” picking function for materials as requested by the Plant Manager to ascertain that all parts are available and accounted for.
- Assists in developing solution to shortages, overages and inventory discrepancies.
- Loads and unloads material on/off of pallets, trays, racks and shelves by hand.
- Inspects incoming materials for accuracy and defect; completing appropriate paperwork.
WORK EXPERIENCE
- 2-3 years experience in inventory control including cycle counts.
- Forklift experience a plus
- Manufacturing environment experience a plus
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
- Ability to lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 pounds on own and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to walk/stand for long durations (duration of shift excluding breaks).
- Vision abilities to include close, distance, peripheral, color and depth differentiation.
- Use of hands and fingers for fine manipulation.
- Ability to perform specific tasks that involve climbing and kneeling.
- Frequent exposure to dust and debris from the production process.
- Frequent exposure to loud noises.
- Limited exposure to weather and climate changes.
