OVERVIEW ::

Performing a variety of tasks to facilitate operation of the hatchery such as cleaning, loading/unloading, and assisting leads with assigned tasks.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS ::
- Performing a variety of tasks to facilitate operation of the hatchery including but not limited to cleaning incubators, counting eggs/chicks, separating/culling chicks, assisting vaccinators, loading/unloading eggs, and keeping work areas clean/organized.
- Adheres to all safety requirements including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures, and Process Safety Management related matters.
- Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
- Participates in Company and department safety programs.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to work with others in a close environment.
- Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work quickly and multitask.

- Exposed to temperatures up to 105 degrees Fahrenheit and humidity up to 100%.
- Exposed to chemicals and vaccines to be covered in MSDS training and hazardous communications.
- Use of personal protective equipment as required.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. to a height of 6 feet, to push 75 lbs. a distance of 75 feet and lift 20 - 25 lbs. to a height of 3 feet.
- Must be able to work in a wet, damp, dusty (chick down) environment.
- Must be able to use broom, shovel, mop and scrub brushes.
- Work with chemicals to effectively wash and disinfect equipment/work area. Frequent stooping and kneeling.
