About the Role
Casetext is looking for an attorney with 1-3 years of litigation experience, or experience working in a law firm’s library or KM department, to join our reference attorney team. Your job will be to help our customers use our suite of A.I.-based software products to conduct legal research and identify relevant legal authorities. You’ll join one of the most-awarded and fastest-growing companies in the legal technology market. This job is entirely remote.
As the Reference Attorney You Will:
- Train our customers on how to use our suite of A.I.-based software products, including hosting webinars and conducting customized training sessions for attorneys and law firms
- Support our sales team in product demonstrations by providing product and legal research expertise
- Conduct discrete legal research projects across diverse legal topics
- Work closely with Casetext’s support and customer success team to help troubleshoot customers’ problems and drive customer success outcomes
- Be a constant advocate for the product and steward of the Casetext brand
You Have:
- Experience conducting legal research, either as a litigator, a judicial clerk, or as a law librarian in a KM department, is a must
- Comfort with public speaking and answering questions live, in front of an audience, is a must
- JD degree required
- The ability to learn new software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and love working with people
- Fast learner and and comfortable developing expertise in new technologies
- You're looking for an adventure in a law-adjacent, but not litigation practice role
- You love legal research and have a demonstrated passion for taking on new substantive legal topics
- An exceptional work ethic and you hold yourself and your work to an obsessively-high standard
- You work well with autonomy and independence
- You're drawn towards innovation, especially innovation in law
- Great prioritization skills and cutting through tasks efficiently - you don't get fazed by a large quantity of information
