CSO Technician
Pay: $22.25 per hour or Depending on Experience
General Position Summary: Provides technical support to the Tribal Lottery System (TLS), its sub-systems, and all modules. Troubleshoots erroneous hardware and software, replaces and repairs parts, cleans player terminals, manages CSO inventory, assists with floor operations and provides Clearly Superior Customer Service to all guests. Supports machine relocation and installations to include network setup and client configuration. Possess the ability to reply upon instructions and pre-established guidelines and procedures.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
- Performs duties in a Clearly Superior Customer Service manner during guest interactions on the gaming floor and ensures that the game(s) are functioning at an optimal level for patron play.
- Assists in the maintenance of TLS and its components, including player terminals, POS terminals, kiosks and other CSO applications, TCP/IP networks and all other applicable gaming devices.
- Ensures accuracy of game settings
- Applies strict administrative and organizational controls to ensure continuous error free data
- Assists in analysis to determine whether equipment should be repaired or replaced, additional equipment installed or newly developed equipment/technology acquired
- Regularly monitors CSO inventory and informs the CSO Tech Supervisor of critical updates to include restocking and organization of parts/TLS components as received
- Performs diagnostic troubleshooting and re-tests all electronic equipment maintained by the CSO department as assigned
- Conducts preventative maintenance on all electronic equipment maintained by the CSO department as assigned
Secondary Functions:
- Assists in monitoring of equipment and reports any anomalies to CSO Technician Supervisor or the CSO Department Manager/Director
- Provides PC support within the CSO Department as necessary
- Ensures cleanliness and organization of all work areas
- Assists in preparation of recommendations for acquisition of newly developed, additional, replacement equipment.
- All other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. Associates of Arts and Science Degree or equivalent from a two-year college of technical school desired. One to two years related experience and/or training/certificate; or equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable. Must be computer literate and possess knowledge of computer science and computer engineering, preferred. Must possess good interpersonal skills. Windows networking skills are essential.
Job Scope: Performs various technician duties and responsibilities under the supervision of the CSO Tech Supervisor. Attention to detail is essential for this position and operates from established practices and procedures according to gaming regulations. Has access to all gaming device area with the permission of the CSO Management Team. Must be computer literate with knowledge of personal computers and networking, TCP/IP and multi-meter usage. Possesses the ability to develop an in depth understanding of Appendix X, X2, MICS, as well as all other company department policies and procedures.
Job Conditions: Working conditions include working in a small confined space with other personnel for extended periods of time. Employees will work in a smoke-filled environment. Other conditions will also include frequent interruptions, evenings, weekends, holidays and on-call. Scheduled shift may rotate every three (3) months.
Physical Requirements: Manual and finger dexterity needed for operation of personal computers, and routine paperwork. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time
