Apple Valley Village is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Full-Time Wound Nurse. In this role, you will perform wound assessments and management for our residents and be a resource for staff. Our ideal candidate has previous supervisory/ leadership experience, excellent communication skills, and strong problem-solving skills.
This is a Full-Time, benefit eligible position.

- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate wound care plans for residents.
- Become a resource to staff, nurse practitioners, physicians, residents, and families.
- Document wounds and measurements; Update physician on progress and obtain new treatment orders if needed.
- Audit nurses during dressing changes to assure proper technique
- Notify Clinical Manager, attending physicians, and family members of significant changes in a resident's condition, and take follow up action as necessary
- Perform additional duties as required
- Must have a current Minnesota Registered Nurse license and be in good standing
- WOC or WCC certified preferred, or willingness to receive within 6 months of hire
- Supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
- Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of staging of wounds
- Self-starter with a desire to be a part of a team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and strong problem-solving skills.
