What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Specialist position at Castaway Technologies?
Position Summary: The Office Specialist will be involved in all aspects of operations for three businesses; Castaway Technologies, Lawrence Ice & Propane and U-HAUL. This is an active, highly visible, exciting and diverse role that will keep the employee directly involved in the business’ main activities. Additionally, the Specialist will interact with our clients, walk-in customers and a variety of internal contacts. The candidate will directly assist the President and Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer maintaining productive and efficient daily operations.
Position Responsibilities:
- Serve as an initial point of contact, answering phones and greeting visitors.
- Process truck reservations, dispatch and returns of rental vehicles.
- Support the Lawrence Ice & Propane business for sales, fulfillment and deliveries of dry ice, regular ice and propane.
- Offer general staff support for Castaway Technologies e-Commerce department (take photos of equipment, research prices for listing the equipment, clean equipment, etc.)
- Support adhoc requests from CEO & CFO, ie. Bank reconciliations, reconcile client audit reports.
- Provide assistance with various human resource activities, internal communications, purchasing, facility maintenance and vendor management.
- Manage documentation associated with various operational workflows
