QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to communicate effectively with senior lab management who are remotely located and perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. This position requires comprehensive or specialized knowledge of the laboratory as well as education/experience consistent with CLIA requirements for testing personnel in a high-complexity lab. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF An IT, Azure Engineer
As an Azure Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Azure-based solutions for the company. Your expertise in Azure services and infrastructure will be vital in creating scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud environments that align with Castle's business requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud solutions that exceed expectations and drive the adoption of cloud best practices within the organization.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of hands-on Azure experience or 3 years of hands-on Azure experience with a formal Azure certification required.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted.
- Proven experience as an Azure Engineer with a strong understanding of Azure services, solutions, and best practices.
- Proficiency in deploying and managing Azure resources using Azure Portal, Azure CLI, and PowerShell.
- Experience with Azure networking, virtual machines, storage solutions, and identity management.
- Familiarity with Azure security features, compliance standards, and data protection mechanisms.
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in an Azure environment is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud-related issues.
- Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-303, AZ-304, etc.) would be advantageous.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team and with clients.
- Strong knowledge of networking technologies
- Actively display characteristics that support the mission, vision, and values of Castle Biosciences.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
- Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, flexible work-schedule hours available.
- Based on progress after the first 90 days, a hybrid work schedule may be considered
- The majority of time is spent in a typical office setting.
- Minimal travel as needed but not mandatory to complete specific projects.
- Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
