DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
CASTUS is looking for a dynamic Director of Business Development who can identify new business opportunities with accuracy & urgency and strategically expand existing partnerships. The Director of Business Development should be able to turn leads into accounts and begin generating revenue autonomously, as well as develop an outbound business development strategy in conjunction with our existing Brand Strategy Team. The Director of Business Development will report directly to the CEO to ensure his/her efforts align with strategic initiatives. He/She will also work closely with other CASTUS team members to maintain cross-functional visibility and coordination. This role is designed for a person that is action-oriented and not afraid to be a “doer” while still having the ability to think strategically. The Director of Business Development will have a significant impact on the immediate success and future direction of CASTUS - compensation will be set accordingly.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Identify New Business opportunities based on CASTUS capabilities and strategic growth plans
- Oversee the prospecting pipeline, sales process, and lead pitching.
- Own the pitch creation process while working collaboratively with the Brand Strategy team to ensure outbound materials, pitches, and sales efforts are aligned with corporate strategy and positioning.
- Actively participate in networking opportunities to build professional contacts and establish presence within relevant business communities.
- Establish partnerships with trade organizations and third-party services providers that can refer business to CASTUS.
- Work directly with potential clients to identify their needs and outline ideal solutions.
- Work collaboratively with the CEO to assess current sales projections, future goals, and strategic plans.
- Own ultimate responsibility for successfully meeting or exceeding company sales & revenue goals.
- Collaborate with the CASTUS team to develop and introduce new services to the market.
- Analyze budgets, prepare annual plans, schedule expenditures, and track performance to budget.
- Work with the Operations & Accounts Team to successfully hand-off new accounts, always ensuring expectations are clearly communicated and timelines are realistic.
- Cultivate and deepen client relationships and partnerships that add value by making regular visits, understanding their needs, and anticipating new opportunities.
- Stay current with the industry and trends by attending educational opportunities, conferences, and workshops, reading publications, and maintaining personal and professional networks.
- Always conduct business and social interactions that reflect the Mission and Values of CASTUS.

Requirements:
- Must be self-motivated, action-oriented, and have the ability to work autonomously and lead others
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or related.
- At least 5 years of experience in Business Development and Sales.
- Previous direct report management experience strongly preferred.
- Previous consultant experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and creative thinking skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of data analysis and report writing.
- The ability to understand and follow company policies and procedures.
- The ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to travel is required.
