Job Description As a Contract Manager, you will perform analytical tasks, often of a confidential nature, in support of the global supply network that manages suppliers by developing improvement plans and support buyers & professionals related to Response Time, Lean Targets - Quality, Cost, Logistics Development, Management (QCLDM) to enable optimal and efficient operations. Job Duties: Drive and support the global contract strategy of the Logistics Procurement Category ensuring compliance to corporate policies through the following actions: contract negotiation support draft contractual documents that identify and mitigate commercial risks prior to submission for legal review lead projects to create and propose new contract templates for global / regional use Champion execution against global plan to develop and maintain standards relating to contracts, rates, approvals, and supplier relationship processes Contract administrative responsibilities via Salesforce Leading continuous improvement opportunities within Global Logistics Procurement especially as it pertains to the contracting processes Support for Logistics Procurement Compliance Processes including, but not limited to, Contracting, Third Party Intermediary, and Financial Screening Support monthly contract approval process and related reporting Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree preferably in one of the following areas: Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Legal Knowledge of legal concepts and contract law Experience managing compliance/contracting programs Top Candidates Will Also Have: Must have strong technical skills and be comfortable gathering, interpreting, and presenting data to high-level management Project management experience Experience with Salesforce Additional Information: This position does not offer relocation This position requires 10% or less travel Facility work location is open to Morton, IL or Chicago, IL Caterpillar is not currently hiring individuals for this position who now or in the future require sponsorship for employment-based non-immigrant and immigrant visas.
