Career Area: Engineering Job Description: ENTRY LEVEL ENGINEERING ROTATION – Oil & Gas Business and Technical Development Program The Oil & Gas Business and Technical Development program prepares individuals to drive development of innovative energy solutions for our global customer base. This 3-year rotational program will be based out of Solar Turbines’ Houston area facilities in the Oil & Gas business group. The development plan will include three rotations, each rotation will be one year, through three different teams within the same overall Construction Services business unit. The purpose of the program is to start the training and development of the next generation of highly capable and competent professionals to participate in the emerging energy transition through a coordinated rotation program. Assignments involved in the program can include: Project Management Customer Order Management Project Controls Machining & Robotic Welding Technologies Manufacturing (Fabrication & Packaging) Processes Process Improvement Leadership Lean Manufacturing Root Cause Analysis ProE CAD and AutoCAD for Manufacturing Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, General Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. Candidate MUST be an undergraduate, graduate or enrolled in a doctoral program; graduated/graduating in 2022-2023 Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. 0-3 years of relevant experience. Must be able and willing to relocate to Houston area in Texas. Preferred Qualifications: Previous internship and/or relevant work experience. Ability to work in a fast-paced cross-functional team environment. High energy level and sense of urgency. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Good business / technical judgment. Ability to handle multiple priorities for a variety of tasks.
