Career Area: Engineering Job Description: Are you an engineer with solid experience and highly motivated to take your abilities to the next level? If so, we have an excellent opportunity for you to join the Global Paving Current Products Design Team (PAV) in Caterpillar’s Earthmoving Division as a Design Engineer! This position will serve as a key resource for design responsibility for the 163 production models as well 490 Legacy models making up the Caterpillar Paving portfolio worldwide. Flexible working arrangements are available. Must be available to work on site when necessary. Job Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Leading and collaborating across functional groups in the design, development, and maintenance of Paving Products seven product lines. Execute continuous improvement of designs to meet customer expectations. Generate innovative solutions using a variety of industry leading design resources and tools. Partner with customers to build sustainable design approaches to industry challenges. Collaborate with a highly diverse international design team of professionals. Investigate customer inquiries through on-machine application in real time. Execute on-machine tests and verification tasks to aid with root cause analyses. Perform releasing and checking of engineering drawings and models. To be successful in this role, you must bring (Basic Qualifications): Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering curriculum (Mechanical, Agriculture, Materials etc.) 3 years of relevant work experience Top Candidates Will Also Have: Experience with the Road Construction industry Creo 3D (3 Dimension) Modeling Experience Machine Operation and Design Experience working and communicating with international teams.
