What to expect: As a Fabrication Finisher your primary duties are to safely load and unload material on the burn tables, remove slag from parts, grind bevels to print, check tolerances with no-go gauges and identify parts with SAP transfer tags. You will regularly be responsible for keeping tables loaded for operator to run nesting programs, finish parts to print using hand tools and grinders, deliver plate steel to machine tables following the production nesting schedules. You will be trained to utilize cranes and powered industrial equipment to move material within work areas. Our team members consistently take initiative to identify, document, communicate and correct problems related to fabrication, report discrepancies and recommend solutions. To be successful in this role you will be self-motivated, performing tasks with limited supervision. As part of the team, you will be responsible for putting safety first with a goal to prevent all injuries, occupational illnesses, and safety incidents. May perform other tasks as needed. **Resume submissions must include a complete detailed work history to be considered** Required Qualification for Consideration: Experience with basic fabrication hand tools and equipment (i.e. grinder, chisel, taps, no-go gauges, welder) Ability to read fabrication blueprints/engineering drawings Top Candidates Will Have: Heavy crane equipment experience Experience with cutting torches. Ability to read standard work, prints, and write continuous improvement cards Ability to utilize computers for production transactions Understanding of the metric measurement systems Physical Requirements & Work Environment Lift up to 35lbs frequently Noise levels of 85db or greater Work at multiple heights Stand for a minimum of 8 hour shifts with minimal breaks Exposure to magnets that may impact medical devices Exposure to welding fumes Climb on equipment, machines, ladders, and various step stools, and operate overhead cranes, jib cranes and hoists Work in environment with frequently changing temperatures Work in awkward positions, including forward reach, lateral reach, squat, overhead reaching, twisting and forward head and rotation of neck. Repetitive grasping, pushing, pulling rotating, and use of fine motor skills Use of hand tools including welder, grinder, air tools, pliers, reamers, etc. Additional Information: Shift: Second Shift Hours: 2:00PM-10:00PM CST M-F Work Location: Brooklyn Park, MN Compensation:03 Shift differential of $1.00HR additional. Quarterly Gain Sharing up to 10%.
