Inventory Control Analyst II

Career Area: Manufacturing & Supply Chain Job Description: Position Objective This position is responsible for the inventory accuracies and parts availability in the Desoto warehousing organization to support daily production, material planning and engineering activities. This position is accountable for managing inventory by performing daily cycle counts, financial cycle counts and creating cycle counts to correct identified inaccuracies. Duties also include BAAN setup and maintenance; manage inbound/outbound advice and the facility in transits. It is essential that the individual posses good communication skills. Participate in daily work center meeting where the direction and priority is established. Dimensions Works under minimal supervision and provides guidance to other less experienced warehousing technicians and inventory specialists in activities related to inventory analysis and control Nature and Scope 1 years’ experience in production systems (Baan, excel, MS applications) in a manufacturing or remanufacturing environment, preferably turbo machinery. Strong knowledge of well-established, standard professional principles, theories and concepts of CPS principles, Baan system, Production processes, material movement, warehousing and logistics. Must be capable of: Sitting for prolonged periods of time with frequent breaks. View computer screen for prolonged hours with frequent breaks Interface with internal, external suppliers and customers. Principal Accountabilities May include, but are not limited to the following: Basic recognition of Bill of Materials issues, ability to analyze order variance, material shortages and alternates. Working consistently with production, material planning and Engineering on solutions to day-to-day problems. Accountable for inventory accuracy and managing in-transit discrepancies. Work closely with production control, material planners and engineering to ensure issue resolution. Reconcile receiving discrepancies (aged WIP) within 24 hours.
