Position Summary:
Catalent Pharma Solutions is hiring an Project Manager who is responsible for managing the non-technical aspects of projects at Catalent Boston which include customer projects for the development and manufacturing of inhalation products and internal engineering projects supported by Product Development. This includes ensuring on time and on budget delivery of projects and acting as a focal point between customers and our technical team by using project management methodologies and corporate PMO procedures.
This is a full time, salaried role, Monday – Friday – days.

The Boston-area facility is Catalent’s global Center of Excellence for spray dry dispersion and Dry Powder Inhaler (DPI) capsule manufacture and packaging. The site features inhaled powder spray drying, as well as multiple commercial-scale lines for capsule filling and blister packaging. On-site spray dryers include best-in-class GEA Niro SD1, SD4 and SD7, the latter being the largest CGMP unit of its kind for DPI in North America.

The Role
- Ensure meeting minutes, agendas, timelines, trackers and other tools are utilized to the benefit of the customer project
- Assist Business Development in maintaining customer relationship and ensuring “return business” by communicating to customers, ensuring customer visits go off as planned and establishing the PM as the advocate for the customer
- Support the changes of scope in existing quotes and provide necessary information to the commercial team for revised quotations
- Collaborate with other groups, activities necessary to ensure project requirements are met.
- Utilize Catalent tools and templates, as applicable, to manage project.
- Develop, coordinate, and track contractual specific client projects through the entire project life cycle.
- Monitor and report progress of projects within agreed timelines ensuring technical and financial goals are met.
- Consult and advise upper management on project status and report issues that may affect ultimate results.
- Prepare verbal reports and presentations on project progress as needed.
- Evaluate, highlight, and escalate unresolved issues, potential barriers to project progression, and resources constraints to supervisor.

The Candidate
- A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a life science or related field
- Preferred candidates with minimum 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry as analytical chemists, formulation development, drug discovery, process engineering, manufacturing, quality control or quality assurance
- Alternatively, candidates with research experience in academia, including PhD graduates with no industry work experience
- Alternatively, candidates with experience in CRO or CDMO project management providing non-clinical, clinical and manufacturing services to the industry.
- Alternatively, candidates with sales and business development experience in the pharmaceutical sector
- Demonstrate success in technical proficiency as it pertains to Catalent systems and practices, collaboration with others and independent thought
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with Six Sigma / Lean / Operational Excellence principles
- Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds;
