Catalyst Life Services is seeking a Psychiatric Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner to provide care for our Detox/Res substance abuse treatment center and to provide outpatient mental health psychiatric services in Mansfield, OH. The Psych NP must hold a current Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification. The Psych NP is responsible for providing assessments and ongoing treatment to clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Medical Screening of clients; H&P as required.
· Monitoring of detoxing clients per policy & procedures; assessment and medication administration.
· Maintain accurate client records
· Assist Medical Director (MD), Clinical Director (CD) with chart review for accuracy.
· Maintain appropriate and necessary communication with Medical Director and nursing staff regarding responses to orders implemented and changes in client condition.
. Provide mental health, outpatient psychiatric services as scheduled.
· Work with MD, CD (Clinical Director) to determine changes in policy and client care.
· Assist with monitoring & ordering of supplies as needed.
· Report to the Medical Director, Clinical Director
· Other duties as assigned by MD & CD
- Ability to round and be on call as scheduled
Skills and Abilities:
· Current certification as a nurse practitioner
· Knowledge of various substances of abuse, the disease of addiction and signs and symptoms of detoxification
· Knowledge of de-escalation methods
· Physical ability and agility to perform two CPR cycles to the current AHA or ARC standard.
· Ability to use EMR system
· Must be able to function in an independent team setting, be flexible in attitude, and desire to holistically care for client’s seeking detoxification.
· Ability to understand and follow oral & written directions.
· Good Interdepartmental communication
Minimum Qualifications:
· Current certification as a nurse practitioner
· First Aide/CPR
· Knowledge of and/or experience with chemical dependency interventions and treatments.
· Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, TB test, and background check.
· Must adhere to agency’s non-discrimination policy.
· Ability to effectively interact with co-workers and clients with diverse backgrounds, including but not limited to; religious views, political affiliation, cultural background, life-style, sexual orientation, gender identification…
