What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Insurance Manager position at Cataract, Glaucoma & Retina Consultants of East Texas?
Busy Ophthalmology practice in Nacogdoches, Texas, seeks an experienced individual to fill a full time Insurance Manager position. Primary duties will include, but not be limited to the following;
- Work closely with third party billing company to audit accounts receivable
- Oversees insurance verification for all patients
- Verify accurate accounting/collection from front office staff
- Communicates with insurance carriers, physicians and related staff in a pleasant and expeditious manner for insurance and/or troubleshooting
- Demonstrates a positive enthusiastic attitude at all times when representing the practice
- Provides input on how to improve customer service, decrease costs and increase revenues for the practice
- Supports the practice core values and mission statement to develop, enhance and promote quality customer service through team effort
- Exhibits flexibility, sensitivity and respect while maintaining an effective working relationship with all team members
- Maintains practice confidentiality, follows HIPAA & OSHA guidelines and follows the rules and regulations of the practice as documented in the practice employee handbook
