The Business: The Caterpillar Earthmoving division, part of the Construction Industries Segment, is responsible for the products at the core of the company, including the machines upon which it was founded. The division currently sits at 9400 global employees across 12 locations. The Earthmoving division is highly motivated, friendly and an innovative division. The Position: The Lead HR Manager (Global Director of HR) for the Earthmoving division will have global responsibility for Operations, Engineering, Product Management & Support. Reporting to the SVP of Earthmoving, and as the top HR Leader in the division, this individual will oversee/lead an effective HR organization to support and enable business success by contributing to the formulation and implementation of overall Company business strategies. In addition, he/she will be instrumental in leading change efforts around business and culture transformation, coaching and guiding leaders around building leadership capabilities, as well as developing and ensuring a strategy around attracting, developing and retaining talent across the division. Finally, this HR Leader will plan the development, implementation and administration of global HR process and practices that are aligned with international or local requirements. Skills and Experiences: 15 years of relevant human resources experience in a large, global manufacturing company. Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree preferred. Develop strategic organization and talent initiatives that drive culture and engagement throughout the organization. Build organizational capability through leader and employee development. Lead successful change and transformation efforts. Influence and coach executives at the VP and SVP levels. Influence and collaborate across the matrix. Strong business and financial acumen necessary for the role. Experience leading global teams with various payrolls and functions.
