Career Area: Manufacturing & Supply Chain Job Description: Benefits Information: $1,000 sign on bonus, split into two separate payments of $500 each. First pay out after 30 days of employment and second payout after 90 days of employment. Retention bonus opportunities as well. The payout of both the sign on bonus and retention bonus will be based on acceptable performance and attendance This is a supplemental position located at the Solar manufacturing facility located in Channelview, TX No relocation package is available Health, dental, vision, & basic life insurance offered on day 1 of employment Potential base salary increases from annual performance reviews Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Comply with all of TurboFab’s Environmental, Health and Safety Programs, Regulations and Guidelines. Must keep all areas clean and orderly; and comply with TurboFab’s housekeeping procedures. Must meet the production schedules of the Paint and Blast facility without jeopardizing quality. Must comply with applicable practices, policies, and procedures, when painting and/or blasting. Must comply with all safety and environmental rules and regulations. Must perform work as per proper specs, paints, colors, and millage of product being painted. Must utilize appropriate personal protective equipment when painting and/or blasting. Must maintain all equipment in good working condition. Train other less experience Painter/Blasters. Must properly prepare parts for paint as well as mixing and applying paint. Must safely and efficiently use blasting and cleaning operation in the preparation of surfaces for coating purposes. Required Qualifications: This position is for the well-experienced fully competent and qualified Painter/Blaster that has over 2 years of experience and requires minimal supervision to perform the job. Must exhibit the skills and willingness to perform assigned tasks in a fully competent manner. Must be experienced in a heavy steel fabrication environment. Must have the knowledge of the standard protective coating systems.   Must be able to get along with others. Interpersonal skills are helpful. Good communication skills, both verbal and written are preferred. Must be experienced in the safe operation of a forklift  Must be able to safely operate a man-lift. Must be knowledgeable in determining proper coating applications under various weather conditions.
