Aftermarket Parts Distribution

Our goal is to get the right part to the right place at the right time. The Aftermarket Parts Distribution team supports our dealers through the Parts Distribution network to get parts to our customers as quickly, efficiently, and safely as possible. We cover a wide variety of areas from demand planning and inventory management to dealer order support and receiving, storage and shipping operations.

As a Traffic Control Analyst, you will assist in the coordination of division of workflow for Operations, Customer Service, Carriers and other Traffic employees to help accomplish assigned responsibilities.

Job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Provide high level customer service on emergency outbound shipments

• Assist Customer Service, Inbound, Receiving, CP’s, & various logistics teams to improve velocity for dealer special requests

• Investigate & resolve delays in route management; recommend or initiate changes to resolve related issues & improve deliveries

• Create shipping documents for premium carriers using the EWM system and Caterpillar Commercial Invoices and BOL

• Edit bills of lading when needed to ensure information is complete and accurate

• Create other shipping documents as needed including Dangerous Goods documentation, shippers export declaration and proof of delivery

• Providing support in the selection of carriers

• Processing and shipping urgently needed parts ensuring import/export orders are shipped according to contract, regulations and company policies, etc.

• Manage Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) process for all transportation lanes

• Establish relationships within the multimodal transportation network, compliant with the Caterpillar Code of Conduct

• Responding to customer service teams calls and providing necessary information and assistance to complete orders

• Monitor and manage velocity metrics associated with 2 nd shift emergency routes.
  

Additional Information:

This is a 2 nd shift position Mon-Fri 230pm - 11pm

This position does not offer relocation

This position requires 10% or less travel.

Basic Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in and/or equivalent knowledge of Operations, Expediting, Purchasing and Traffic

• Able to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel both inside and outside the company including suppliers and transportation carriers

• Strong PC skills (MS Office Suite and Outlook)

• Strong EWM skills, yard management

• Flexibility to work overtime, off shifts and a monthly Saturday rotation

Top Candidates Will Also Have

• Associates degree

• Prior logistics experience

• Good knowledge of material flow through Morton and familiarity with various Morton systems

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Good human relations, interpersonal and collaboration skills

• Familiarity with materials and quality objectives

• Previous experience with lean manufacturing processes and tools, machine shop operations, equipment and processes

• Current knowledge of Caterpillar remanufacturing or logistics processes
