Career Area: Digital Job Description: JOB PURPOSE: The UX Manager will provide leadership in user experience and interface design for Fleet and Operational applications within Cat Digital. This role will oversee a team of UX designers accountable to deliver across multiple applications for both Customers and Dealers. The right candidate will work closely with Product Managers to identify opportunities and enhancements using user-centered design methodologies. JOB DUTIES: This position will be responsible for facilitating, generating and executing great user experiences for our customers, dealers and their end users. This position will work with stakeholders, venders, creatives and partners translating customer needs to build the heuristic user experience strategy by applying human-centered and interaction design, translating customer needs into wireframes and prototypes, and visually designing our future UX strategy. Lead team(s) of high performing UX practitioners and projects related to improving the overall digital customer journey while also satisfying our business solutions Work closely with Product Owners to support product priorities and recommend User Experience enhancements and best practices. Accountable for hiring, managing and mentoring a team of UX architects, UI designers, and UX researchers to deliver the common product outcomes Lead team(s) that will build various world class software solutions Creation of customer journeys, user flows, and manage overall deliverables of the design team (wireframes, high fidelity designs, prototypes, etc). Support the overall consistency of the Fleet Management and Operations applications. Lead and oversee the overall experience across both customer facing and dealer facing applications within this domain. Lead collaboration and facilitation across multiple functional team leads to ensure viable solutions. Able to translate your team’s work as strategic recommendations to leadership team and various executives. Recommend best approaches for implementation of user experience. Carefully evaluate problems and provides input into a large number of possible solutions before selecting one option. Follows general policies and guidelines for projects under his/her control to ensure specific, project goals are met and desired results are achieved. Provides impact to key quality goals including customer satisfaction, NSP, continuous improvement, etc. Responsible for all personnel issues and performance evaluation of subordinates, as well as overall employee satisfaction for the team. BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE: Basic qualifications: Position requires a four-year degree from an accredited college or university Bachelors or Master’s degree in Human Interaction Design, UX Design, Computer Science, or related field. 5 years or more of experience leading a team design and managing multiple deliverables and timelines. Top candidates will also have: 5 years or more experience in creating complex digital application experiences across multiple form factors. Demonstrated leadership on medium to large-scale projects impacting strategic priorities. Ability to cope with shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively prioritize, delegate responsibilities and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Passion and empathy for our end users. Proven experience in many of the following, Designing maintaining applications at scale. Leading and facilitating design workshops as needed Passion for VOC through, customer interviews, usability testing, surveys, CSAT, or other methods of research. Experience using design software such as, Figma, Sketch, Invision, Adobe, etc Working within an Agile framework.
