Our goal is to entertain our audience with fun, light-hearted narratives and entertaining content for both children and young adults. A vital component of our business is creating multiple unique stories every week in order to keep our audience engaged.
CatFace is in search of an experienced Storyboard Artist to join our expanding Animation Department. The ideal candidate will collaborate with the Animation team to transform scripted content into engaging and detailed storyboards, bringing them to life through timed animatics. Candidates should possess the motivation to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be flexible in making revisions based on creative feedback.

This is a fully remote or hybrid position located in Austin, TX. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Director and creative team to understand the script and visual requirements.
- Develop visuals from thumbnails and rough storyboard panels to finished storyboard panels for key sequence
- Compile boards into animatics to provide a preview of the sequences, incorporating timing, pacing, and basic motion.
- Refine and finalize storyboards and animatics based on feedback and direction from the creative team.
- Maintain consistency in visual storytelling and adhere to the project's artistic vision.
- Manage deadlines, complexity, and concerns within schedule parameters to ensure the prompt completion of deliverables
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a storyboard artist on animated productions.
- Strong artistic and drawing skills with the ability to create dynamic and expressive storyboards.
- Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Computer Graphics, or relevant field.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Toon Boom Harmony
- Deep understanding of cinematography, composition, and visual storytelling.
- Experience composing animatics to translate boards into visual sequences
- Efficient and timely communication skills
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for visual storytelling.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced entertainment environment
- Excellent creative problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Anime and Minecraft-related content a plus
