What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grant Writer position at Catholic Charities?

Catholic Charities is looking for an experienced and motivated Grant Writer to join our team. The Grant Writer will research, write, format, and submit compelling, high-quality grant proposals to funding agencies (federal, state, and private foundations) while applying knowledge of fundraising methods to help us reach our goals. As the Grant Writer, you would:
- Maintain knowledge of Catholic Charities’ funding needs
- Assess the feasibility of obtaining external funding for project proposals
- Investigate local, state, federal, private, foundation, and corporate sources of funds
- Develop and maintain an internal grant application process
- Coordinate, develop, and process grant applications from conceptual to submission stage while working closely with stakeholders throughout all phases
- Cultivate a network of dedicated donors and volunteers, and form strong relationships with external stakeholders
Grant Writer Minimum Salary: $29.12 per hour
Grant Writer Maximum Salary: $32.42 per hour
Grant Writer Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in non-profit grant writing and/or fundraising
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Services, or related field
- Strong research, communication, and publication writing skills
- Presentation writing experience
- Critical thinking skills
- Must be autonomous and self-driven
- Must work well independently and as a part of a team
