Position Summary:
As a Finance Analyst you will provide analytical support for the development and administration of Catholic Health business initiatives and mission. You will also perform complex analytical work involving research, analysis, database interpretation and development of recommendations for management review and collaborate with Corporate, Hospital & Physician Finance as well as various facility departments system-wide to provide analytical services.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Analyzes, verifies, authorizes, processes and reports on complex and critical financials as required by the department. Designs, develops and implements systems or procedures resulting in the accurate reporting of financial or system data.
- Participates in department specific special projects, business plan development, financial modeling, finance analysis, reconciliations, data management analysis, etc.
- Troubleshoots problems and researches variance causation. Interprets data and recommends appropriate course of action operating effectiveness and profitability.
- Compiles, analyzes and/or verifies financial/statistical data and reports.
- Recommends, implements and adheres to financial procedures and policies.
- Assists in the development and preparation of system, strategic and business unit plans.
- Prepares and presents ad-hoc requests, as necessary.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration discipline (Accounting, Finance, Health Care Management, etc.).
Skills:
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be organized and able to assemble documentation to support work product.
- Strong PC skills required with Microsoft Excel proficiency mandatory.
- Excellent analytical skills are required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
Experience:
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in finance. Healthcare finance experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Required to sit for long periods of time interspersed with standing, walking and bending.
- Excellent verbal and auditory skills are required for communicating with internal staff and outside applicants/clients.
- Near vision acuity is required for maintaining employees’ records and computer work.
