The Member Marketing Coordinator works with the Fraternal Outreach Team, supporting Catholic Order of Foresters members and events while coordinating events and creating social media content. The Member Marketing Coordinator will work with external and internal audiences.

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Organize, develop, and support outreach events and other member functions and programs
  • Lead workshops, showing members how to organize successful outreach events
  • Maintain inventory of event T-shirts and T-shirt orders; pack and ship orders as necessary
  • Recruit members for mission trips
  • Develop promotional strategies for member events and outreach initiatives
  • Maintain event registration records and files for multiple event types simultaneously.
  • Produce and gather content for the monthly member newsletter (Fraternal Focus)
  • Provide editorial support by producing web and daily social media content, including campaigns and advertisements
  • Shoot video and take photos in various environments
  • Work with the internal Graphic Design Team and create marketing materials to promote events
  • Write articles and photo captions for Catholic Forester magazine
  • Track spending related to workshops, outreach events, and travel via expense reports

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Ability to:
    • build, motivate and lead a diverse team of volunteers;
    • identify and resolve problems on time;
    • and understand information and ideas presented through verbal and written communication
  • Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to complete complex projects simultaneously
  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, File Explorer)
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Adobe Creative Suite knowledge and experience
  • Experience traveling solo and in a team
  • Knowledge of Catholicism

Education/experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in public relations, communication, journalism, or marketing
  • Experience working in communication and marketing
  • Background in volunteering, outreach, and mission trips is preferred
