Catholic Social Services (CSS) operates within the physical boundaries of the Diocese of Fall River providing array of services to individuals and families in need. CSS seeks a full-time Director with expertise in operational management to oversee a variety of services and programs such as Housing Counseling, Food Pantry, Adoption Search Services, and Volunteers, as well as provide support, professional development for employees, all aimed at strengthening services and program success.

The Director of Community Services will play a key leadership role in overseeing agency efforts to support awareness and implementation of mental health ministry; develop strategies to connect families affected by mental illness. In other context, engages in the Guild for the Blind related work, forming innovative collaboration to empower people who are visually impaired within the community. More broadly, the Director of Community Services will work to help develop and strengthen services such as senior support groups, parish services, and disability support services to address varying levels of need. This position will provide support to all activities related to operations and promote agency culture, learning, respect and dignity.

The Director is also responsible providing services that are safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable and client-centered.

Qualifications include:

• Masters degree (MSW, MPA, or related field preferred) with a minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in human services, preferably in the field of housing and homeless services
• Experience with HUD Housing Counselors Certification preferred
• Practice experience in mental health ministry preferred
• Reliable transportation required
• Bi-lingual helpful

Pay: $70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

• Human services: 5 years (Required)
• Housing and Homeless services: 1 year (Required)
