What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Manager position at Catiglass?
Cat-i Glass is seeking an IT Manager who will work as the sole IT support staff for a manufacturing facility of ~175 people. Your time will be split between systems maintenance/management, on-site hardware/software support, and goal-based projects related to IT. All work is on-site, with potential remote work for after-hours support only. The job requires large amounts of interfacing with employees of various technological skill levels. You will not be micromanaged and need to work independently with a strong desire to accomplish established goals.
Core Responsibilities:
- IT/Hardware help – Assist/solve with day to day computer/IT issues that arise, both software and hardware related. Set-up and document new equipment and systems.
- Systems Management – Maintain Windows systems and servers, along with various software packages
- Projects - Tackle a short but impactful list of IT projects with clear goals and metrics for project success verification
- Make recommendations for enhancements or replacements of hardware and software to the Board..
- Primary point of contact for any computer hardware or software issues.
- Ensure that all company hardware is functioning properly and maintained to reduce any down time.
- Ensure all hardware and software are virus free and secure.
- Set and meet deadlines for assigned projects.
- Proactive preventative maintenance on hardware and systems
Systems:
- PCs – Approximately 85 PCs/laptops in use, with an additional 20 thin clients. Will need basic user support for issues and general knowledge.
- Tablets – Approximately 40 windows and android tablets in use. Will need basic user support for issues and general knowledge.
- Servers - 4 physical servers hosting 7 virtual servers.
- Printers – Larger multifunction printers are maintained by outside service. Personal printers need basic troubleshooting and mapping to PCs for print access.
- Epicor Accounting software – Assist Epicor Specialist with routing system updates and maintenance. Basic troubleshooting, small customizations to basic reports.
- Mitel 5000 phone system – Manage basic troubleshooting, user management while moving to Teams;
- Confluence Corporate wiki – System updates and maintenance, basic troubleshooting, user management, small database management and custom macro creation
- Windows – This includes office, outlook, exchange server, domain. System updates and maintenance, basic troubleshooting, user management
- Networking – VPN, switch management, firewall, access points
Requirements:
- 5 Years of IT support related experience
- Able to lift 25 pounds
- Strong communication skills with independent and driven work ethic

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
