What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Engineer position at Cattron?
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical assistance to customers via phone, email, and other communication channels.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Cattron's remote control systems.
- Collaborate with customers to understand and analyze problems, providing effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Work closely with the engineering and development teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
- Provide feedback to improve product reliability and performance based on customer interactions.
- Conduct training sessions for customers and internal teams to enhance their understanding of Cattron's remote control systems.
- Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of Cattron's remote control systems and their applications in material handling and rail industries.
- Stay updated on new product features and enhancements to effectively assist customers with their inquiries.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to provide relevant and up-to-date training.
- Gather and document customer feedback regarding product performance and user experience to contribute to product improvement.
- Support the sales team in Pre-Sales meetings or calls in order to define a solution to the customers requirement.
- May require some occassional travel to customer sites when requiring design specific solutions.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in technical support, preferably in a field related to remote control systems or industrial automation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Both oral and written
- Familiarity with material handling and rail industry practices is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to absorb product knowledge of all Cattron products
- Ability to conduct a needs assessment to determine accurate understanding of customer needs
- Attention to detail is a must
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Less than 2 years of related experience; preferably with electromechanical components
