Staff Accountant:

Be a pivotal player in month-end closing of the general ledger, focusing on reconciling all banking transactions and reducing CAVAs exposure to missing deposits.

What You’ll Do:   

·       Provide Accounting expertise for CAVA Restaurants, preparing related accounting transactions, schedules, and reconciliations, to include but not limited to, recording of general ledger journal entries and preparation of month-end reports.

·       Live in the details, participate in the analysis of the P&L at the end of each period to identify and explain unexpected fluctuations.

·       Compile and analyze sales vs collections by restaurant daily, working with IT on any missing data or anomalies to minimize revenue leaks.

·       Serve as the go-to resource for the business surrounding all things cash – credit card and restaurant safe transactions.

·       Be a pivotal player in month-end closing of the general ledger, focusing on reconciling all banking transactions and reducing CAVAs exposure to missing deposits.

·       Have a team player can-do attitude, there is nothing too Big or too small and as a team we get it done.

·       Complete job responsibilities and performance objectives in a timely and effective manner

·       Solve for issues and raise up any that cannot be solved to eliminate misses with a solutions-based approach.

·       Partner with the business teams as the business evolves to ensure accounting is abreast of changes to ensure the financial statements are accurate.

The Qualifications:

·       2 years of experience in an accounting role.

·       BS Accounting

Physical Requirements: 

·       Ability to maintain stationary position to be able to operate a computer and other office equipment.

·       Must be able to identify, analyze and assess details.

·       For certain positions, must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to 50 pounds.

·       Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively.

·       Constantly positions self and move about to support ordinary restaurant or food production support or office operations, as applicable.

·       Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
