Job Description

This program is designed to give an aspiring entrepreneur the opportunity to experience the complete control of running their own insurance agency, under the guidance of a local top tier agency owner as well as the nationally recognized University of Farmer's online training and local district office team.  Training is second to none!  This is an amazing opportunity to enter the world of business ownership through Farmer's Insurance. 

All candidates must be fully licensed in general lines property and casualty and life and health before entering the program. 

This is a 10-12 month fast track training and mentoring system that gives you an opportunity to own your own business upon completion with no capital requirement for start up. 

There is a $2,000 per month base salary + 50% commission on ALL new business that is written.  You can receive a $1,000 performance bonus as you meet quarterly production goals.  Plus you will receive 20% team bonus for agency production goals, can range from $200-$400  per month.

You will be responsible for designing and executing a marketing and business plan while having access to a $1,000 per month agency marketing budget. 

You will market, grow, and maintain a book of business within an existing local training agency.  You will need to have a passion for helping others as well as the utmost integrity and honesty as you are here to help the community protect and grow their assets.  You will be doing on the job, daily learning, of marketing, sales, service, and agency owner business management. 

You will have quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily goals, which you will learn how to manage your time and resources effectively to give you the greatest return on your time and investment. 

This is a true hands on experience process to becoming a Farmer's Agency owner while learning different marketing processes and they impact growth of your personal business.  Great training to develop your customer service, marketing, sales and entrepreneurship skills.


  • Currently possess a Property & Casualty insurance license in the State of Texas
  • Possess a genuine willingness to learn, be intuitive and resourceful and be coachable.
  • Possess an upbeat, positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Be a great self-starter with a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent Communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Confident, self-starter who works well independently.
  • Prior Sales Experience.
  • Must be highly self-motivated.
  • Professional phone etiquette.
  • Career minded vision.
  • Follow through and exceed current and prospective client expectations.
  • Problem-Solving Capabilities.
  • Works well with other employees and is a team player with a positive attitude.
  • Minimum education: Associate’s degree in Business.
  • Previous work experience in sales, marketing, promotions or telemarketing.
