Currently, we are looking to add a Facilities Technician to our team:
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and documentation of all electrical systems for 5 buildings and 300 employees – lighting, UPS, generators, primary switch gear, etc.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve all the buildings’ electrical issues
- Perform testing, overhauls, repair/replacement, and removal/installation of laboratory electrical equipment
- Responsible for monitoring current system demands and capacity concerns
- Determine technical details and create instructions for planned maintenance (preventative, predictive, planned, corrective)
- Documentation of work instruction sheets and maintenance related activities for the purpose maintaining regulatory compliance with federal, state, and local laws
- Assist Facilities Team in a variety of maintenance tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Education – Electrical apprenticeship, vocational certificate, or military electrical maintenance training
- Experience – 5 years in commercial or laboratory setting electrical construction with extensive 3 phase, 480V motor and 208V experience
- Extensive experience running conduit, sizing circuits, and troubleshooting electrical problems
- Working knowledge of BMS
- Extensive knowledge of building practices, codes, and regulations
- Able to review technical documents and drawings, read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Aware of state and local regulations, and experience in addressing hazardous situations
- Communicate clearly and effectively
- Ability to prioritize tasks, be organized and pay attention to detail
- Strong problem solving, follow up and delegation skills
- Strong computer skills
- Familiarity with OSHA and MIOSHA regulations (OSHA 30 Training Certificate preferred)
