Job Summary

Agents communicate with consumers primarily by phone, making outbound and receiving inbound calls, while adhering to strict industry compliance and best practices. Post training, the employee must complete certification as a Professional Collection Specialist. The position requires a typing proficiency evidence of at least 45 wpm and the chosen candidate must complete a criminal background check. Spanish or any second language is a plus.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Utilize various skip tracing techniques to locate right parties in order to negotiate payment arrangements
- Negotiate payment terms and methods when right party is reached. The negotiation process often requires reviewing the account information in database, and/or asking probing questions of the consumer in order to better understand potential objections to payment.
- Overcome stalls and objections and suggest money sources for debt payment
- Leave messages with consumers informing them of contact points via a mandated script
- Utilize the scripted opening when the right party is reached. This includes identifying the consumer, identifying company, and asking for payment on the account.
- Update the customer record with new information, record the call result or disposition; as well as any relevant notes about the call via the menu or narrative section of the systemPerforms other duties as assigned
- .Identifycases for special handling according to company criteria
- Maintain compliance by use of proper policy and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills
- Must possess high competency in verbal and written communication.
- Must be capable to demonstrate teamwork ability as well as be capable to work independently.
- Typing proficiency must meet a minimum of 45wpm with 0 errors.
- Must have basic knowledge of keyboard and computer use.
- Must successfully pass American Collector Associates International exam to obtain Professional Collection Specialist designation within 6 months of hire.
- Must possess basic math skills, with ability to calculate accurately
