TITLE: DevOps SpecialistREPORTS TO: Department ManagerSTATUS: SalariedLOCATION: Upper Arlington, OHSCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.PAY: $60,000-$70,000JOB SUMMARY: As a member of the DevOps/Middleware team a DevOps Specialist works with the team to build and maintain functional delivery and maintenance systems that improve internal customer experience. DevOps Specialist responsibilities include assisting the operations team with deploying product updates through automation, identifying production issues and implementing integrations that meet customer needs which requires software engineering knowledge and familiarity with Linux and Windows scripting. This is an entry level opportunity for someone looking to leverage their current skills while exhibiting an aptitude and willingness to grow and develop on the team. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation:Implement integrations requested by internal customers (business units)Work with operations to deploy updates and fixesProvide Level 2 technical supportBuild tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve internal customer experienceDevelop software to integrate with internal back-end systemsPerform root cause analysis for production errorsInvestigate and resolve technical issuesDevelop scripts to automate visualizationDesign procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenanceUpgrade and maintain DevOps systemsAdhere to and be compliant, as applicable, with GLBA, FCRA, FCPA, HIPAA, CAN-SPAM, UDAP as well as all other federal, state and local laws, and company policies and proceduresOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:Work experience with Linux and/or Windows scripting (bash, power-shell, etc.)Knowledge of What’sUp Gold ApplicationKnowledge of Axway ApplicationManaged file transfer experienceKnowledge of Open-Source such as Java and Tomcat is helpfulKnowledge of Windows .Net is helpfulKnowledge of backend databases is helpfulProblem-solving attitudeAbility to learn quicklyExcellent communication skillsTeam spiritAssociate’s Degree or higher, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field PHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the responsibilities of the job, the person in this position will be required to frequently communicate information so others will understand. The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time and must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. The person in this position may need to occasionally move about the inside of an office. The person in this position may need to position self to maintain files in a cabinet and place computers under a desk or in a cabinet. This position requires ability to constantly observe typewritten text on a computer screen. The person in this role is required to operate a desktop computer and/or laptop and use a desk telephone regularly.
