Job Description
Our stunning 1916 remodeled building houses a vintage bar and lounge. This establishment is well-appointed with uniquely styled appointments, dim lighting, and furnishings.
We are looking for an innovative individual that embodies the spirit and class for this one-of-a-kind experience, a specialist not a generalist. This position will require a knowledge of both craft and classic cocktails while maintaining awareness of industry trends in service, product, and presentation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently and with others.
- Must be able to mix ingredients accurately and efficiently.
- Must have great communication skills both written and verbal.
- Must have a positive attitude and be able to work well with others.
- Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds.
- Knowledge of bar and lounge operations- Licensing or Certifications for Mixologist is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Monitors and manages the ordering of all beer, wine, spirits, and bar tools and equipment.
- Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents, cost, and preparation methods.
- Maintains stock, prepares, cures, and stores all fresh fruit and vegetables garnishes, juices, and other perishables to ensure product quality. Drafts the drink menu in coordination with managements directive. Ensures that appropriate stock/par levels of all bar items are constantly maintained.
- Utilize appropriate stemware/glassware as required by company standards, polish glassware, and stock bar supplies to par levels.
- High levels of hygiene and cleanliness with all aspects of drink and food preparation, including personal appearance . All areas are to be kept tidy within the establishment.
- Verify Identification.
- Process payments from customers.
- Record and balance cash receipts and prepare cash deposits.
- Open and maintain tabs throughout shifts.
