SAP Budget Planning Simulation Lead

We are seeking a SAP Budget Planning Simulation (BPS) / FM (Funds Management) Lead-SME to join our team supporting an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) project.

As SAP BPS / FM Lead / SME consultant you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing both the planning and execution of funds management aspects of the SAP S/4 HANA brownfield implementation for IRS.  You will work closely with solution architects, functional SME’s, program offices, IT teams, and stakeholders to communicate and advocate for proper understanding of requirements and prototype solutions. 

Responsibilities:

• Lead other SAP BPS / FM consultants in SAP FM configuration and development
• Facilitate current BPS/3YRF implementation and support of SAP FM to enhance the business functionality
• Design/configure business processes in SAP FM to process transactions associated with budget entry, supplements, transfers, returns funds, reservations, funds commitments, budgetary ledger, special purpose ledger and budget version planning
• Support client in: Performing year end close; enabling automatic availability control and checking; reconciling differences between AVC and FM ledgers
• Lead blueprint workshops and user training development for future BPS implementation
  • Analyze the current budgeting business processes and scenarios and recommend/develop solutions
  • Provide process and systems expertise in Budget Submission, Plan Development, Labor Projections, Performance Management, and Budget Execution
• Design and develop budget planning and execution functionality necessary to support IRS agency
• Ensure timely and accurate communication with stakeholders regarding Funds Management matters
• Conduct business user acceptance testing
• Create deliverable materials for a range of recipients including technical teams, business teams, project leads and executives
   

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field from an accredited college or university required
• At least seven 7 years of relevant experience required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an SAP BPS / Funds Management Lead
• Experience in SAP PS procurement and Payroll to integrate functionality in S4HANA BPS process
• Knowledge of Master Data maintenance in BPS
• Expertise in planning tools and processes (Rolling Forecast)
• Knowledge of Balance Carry Forward task and Cash Flow.
• Experience with Government financial regulations and audit compliances
• Experience in SAP Modules including Financial Accounting, General Ledger, Budget Control, Funds Management, MM, BW BO, BEx Analyzer, BEx query designer and AFO
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to interface with all levels of management
• Preferred: Current IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI)
• Preferred: Knowledge of IRS business systems and data
• Preferred: S/4 HANA certification in relevant modules
• Preferred: Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology, including Scrum or Kanban processes
