Property Management Company seeks highly qualified Leasing Agent
We are looking for a hard-working individual who is willing to spend as much time as required to complete the job at hand. This person must take nothing for granted and always follow up with people and enforce company policies and procedures. Must provide premier customer service. Must be able to multi-task, work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, as well as work independently. Must manage extensive contact with potential and current residents requiring tact and judgment to handle sensitive issues.
Responsibilities:
- Processing tenant applications for residency, and eviction filings as needed
- Handle leasing to new residents and retention of existing residents
- Comfortable with the duties related to overseeing the work of leasing agents and support staff
- Collection of payments
- Rent collections, late notices, processing court and eviction papers
- Processing of resident concerns
- Conduct market surveys
- Preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly leasing reports
- Collection of returned checks
- Enforcing community rules and regulations
- Maintaining consistent resident retention with focus on renewal of leases, resolution of resident conflicts and problems
- Must have strong organizational skills sufficient to deal with very busy and demanding property
- Comfortable with dealing with the public, both in person and on the telephone
- Recognize opportunities for problem resolution and establishing good customer relations
- Recognize trends in customer issues and complaints and advise management
- Work with customers, regional managers, and home office staff
Job Requirements:
- The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work diligently and show good communication skills
- Must be comfortable with the duties related to showing units, leasing, and maintaining an acceptable level of resident retention
- Must be able to work weekends as needed
- As a Leasing Agent, you handle inbound calls and in-person contact with our apartment residents and potential residents
- Must be comfortable with the duties related to showing & leasing apartments, answering the telephone, and greeting prospective tenants in the leasing office
- At least 3 years prior experience in leasing at residential property required
Salary: $20-$25 /hour $150 - $300 per each commission
Job Type: Full-time
