About the role
Performing advanced building maintenance skills to perform preventive maintenance and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems and other building equipment, vehicles, and grounds. You'll also interact directly with store management and work on commercial/industrial refrigeration systems. Your trade skills will come in handy, including welding, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, and heating/cooling. Prior experience as a Refrigeration Technician, HVACR Service Technician, or Refrigeration Maintenance Technician is ideal. Flexibility on schedule is a must!
What you’ll do
- Follows codes, regulations, and directives for building operations and safety.
- Performs assigned repairs and preventive maintenance, documents work.
- Reviews work orders, estimate time and materials and uses CMMS to manage and track tasks.
- Installs and modifies building equipment systems.
- Maintains HVAC and refrigeration equipment, and inspects new installations for compliance with laws.
- Inspects building systems, including fire alarms, HVAC/R, and plumbing, for proper operation.
- Is responsible for the work of outside contractors and maintains energy management program.
- Responds quickly to emergencies and reports all work activity via PDA device.
What you’ll need
- Requires high school diploma/GED and 4 years of refrigeration experience or equivalent education/training.
- EPA 608 / CFC Certification as required.
- Licensure as required by Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
- Prior RTU and Refrigeration experience.
