JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for managing the implementation and reporting of ESG strategy for our investor clients, delivering measurable improvements in ESG performance and engagement, in support of our clients' business objectives. The role will involve managing many Client relationships.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the design, development, and evolution of the ESG strategies and guidance documents for clients.
Responsible for managing the implementation and reporting of the ESG strategy Responsible for the development, benchmarking, implementation and review of appropriate sustainability objectives, targets and improvement program(s).
Monitor and report on each portfolio's sustainability performance and progress against sustainability objectives and key performance indicators.
Lead regular catch-up calls/meetings with client ESG oversight teams.
Routinely prepare and present at house and portfolio team meetings to increase sustainability awareness and engagement.
Provide support and technical advice to clients, and other stakeholders to enable them to undertake their roles and responsibilities for sustainability.
Innovate and lead initiatives to engage and educate tenants to increase data coverage and sustainability performance.
Respond to requests for information regarding any portfolio's ESG performance from rating and reporting agencies.
Work with wider team to monitor changes in legislation and best practice to ensure continuing legal compliance and best practices in US markets.
Provide ESG advice, across the whole property life cycle, as needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree Required, Master's Degree Preferred. 4-6 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Good knowledge of, and experience with ESG/sustainability reporting standards, frameworks and ratings and rankings such as Principals for Responsible Investment (PRI), Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) etc.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES
Excellent communication and presentation skills, strong attention to detail. Ability to foster and maintain collaborative relationships across department, company and geographies. Ability to problem-solve and manage multiple priorities.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Sr ESG Consultant position is $113,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Sr ESG Consultant position is $188,400 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
