Broadcast Associate
This is an entry-level overnight position working with the Eye Opener team of CBS Mornings. The ideal candidate is a team player with exceptional organizational skills, is detail-oriented and has the ability to both multi-task and keep a calm head under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. Must also be willing to work overnights and occasional holidays.
General responsibilities: Assist the Eye Opener team with finding stories and elements for the daily segment. Work with producers on finding the appropriate elements for a variety of stories overnight. Perform general news desk duties. Help with gathering story elements, developing story pitches and producing stories.
Qualifications: Internship or comparable experience working on a news broadcast. College degree desired. Able to work under pressure and under strict deadlines. Strong communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills. Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, holidays and/or weekends.
