What are the responsibilities and job description for the Configuration Specialist position at CBTS?
CBTS is searching for a Configuration Specialist to join our team. This teammate will configure new products, and maintain, update and improve current product configurations on our Manufacturing ERP system.
You will learn the configuration required to implement at other manufacturing sites across the east coast and central United States.
This is a 6 month Contract to hire Role. Pay will be $65,000 - $75,000 annually with full Benefits.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains all PCM logic within the ERP environment
- Works closely with engineers and programmers to introduce, improve, and maintain product lines
- Support customer base with system related issues
- Support and troubleshoot problems related to the Configuration and ERP / MRP system(s)
- Provide support to team members on current platforms such as JDE, Cantor, AccuQuote, Friedman, Frontier, and eQuotes
- Assists with future upgrades and implementations of new features, modules, updates, etc
- Supports Third Party Vendor Interfaces and Electronic Data Interchange to maintain data / processes working at peak performance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in a related field.
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience that demonstrates an ability to problem solve, work with cross-functional teams, and complete projects
- Previous experience with parametric or options-based product configuration systems highly desired
- General programming experience preferred
- Experience in manufacturing preferred
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Must be able to handle multiple competing demands in a fast-paced work environment
- Must have exceptional attention to detail, and ability to retain numerical values
- Must demonstrate an understanding of building products and construction industry, as well as be able to understand manufacturing and technological concepts
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations, with a strong working knowledge of algebra, geometry and trigonometry
- Ability to communicate well with engineers, sales team, manufacturing personnel, suppliers, and customers
- Ability to proactively identify and correct logical errors and inconsistencies in the configurator system
- Demonstrate a strong desire to continuously improve company products and systems
- Must have exceptional overall computer aptitude and typing ability. ERP / MRP software knowledge is preferable
TRAVEL
Required travel to manufacturing facilities or corporate office as needed, estimated 15%
