Job description
The DEXA Technician performs a variety of technical work related to the taking and processing of x-ray films and work relative to the department's scope of activities as required.
Performs high quality DEXA (Bone Density) and diagnostic radiographic services (limited to Hip, Spine, extremities, and torso-skeletal) on patients, within the legal scope of licensure.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of a Bone Densitometry Program or Radiology Program (CRT).
- California Radiologic Technologist upon hire or
- California Limited Permit X-Ray Technician Bone Densitometry Permit upon hire.
- National Registered Technologist - Bone Densitometry upon hire.
- Experience as a DEXA Technician; 1 year preferred.
