What are the responsibilities and job description for the SNAP-Ed Nutritionist position at CCE-Tompkins?
Are you enthusiastic about improving the food security and health of your community? Do you love teaching both youth and adults about food and physical activity? Cornell Cooperative Extension Tompkins County is seeking an educator with interest in these areas to serve as the county’s SNAP-Ed Nutritionist.
As a member of the six-county Southern Finger Lakes SNAP-Ed team, this person will be responsible for teaching youth and adult programming based on existing SNAP-Ed curricula to SNAP-eligible populations throughout Tompkins County. Program delivery might be in person, virtual, or a combination of both. This role will have the opportunity to partner with other community development staff both within and outside of the organization on their programming and connect with a network of other educators. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching, a history of working with diverse populations, and local connections and experience within Tompkins County. This is a full-time, 40 hour/week, non-exempt, benefits-eligible position with compensation of $51,000/year. The search will remain open until July 15, 2024 or until a suitable candidate is found. Position closing dates may change based upon Association needs.
